Michelle Lyn Cook
is happy to be returning to the Peterborough Players for her
third season. She was the Technical director last year and
designed the set for Around the World in 80 Days.
She also choreographed the step dance for As You Like
It. In 2000 when she served as assistant technical director,
she designed lights for Sleuth. Michelle has just
completed her third year as the Technical Director/Scenic
and Lighting Designer for theatre louisiana college. This
year she has designed lights and sets and choreographed for
their productions of Westside Story, Gaslight,
Female Transport, and Our Town. Past productions
have included, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor* Dreamcoat,
Wait Until Dark, Macbeth, Secret Garden, Another Antigone,
and You Can't Take it With You. Other design credits
include Beast on the Moon, Jesus Christ Superstar, Greater
Tuna, and Have a Nice Day, at the Toledo Repertoire
Theatre in Toledo, Ohio. Michelle has worked in many other
professional theatres: New York Stage and Film, Dogwood Dell
Festival of Arts, Meadow Brook Theatre, and The Olney Theatre.
A native of Louisiana, she received her B.A. from Louisiana
College in 1995. She has just received an assistantship to
the University in Memphis, where she will pursue an M.F.A.
in scenic and lighting design this fall. (2002)
