Hoskins Jim Hoskins has had a multi-faceted
career that has taken him from Ciro's in Hollywood; to Nouvelle
Eve in Paris; to the Upstairs at the Downstairs in New York
City. Mr. Hoskins began his career as a dancer in Mae West's
nightclub act and has performed, directed and choreographed
in educational theatre, television, film, the corporate theatre,
opera, nightclubs and the legitimate theatre. He has staged
over 400 productions in this country and abroad. He taught
period movement and dance in both the undergraduate and graduate
programs as Penn State University and the graduate program
at Florida State University. Between 1969 and the present
he directed and/or choreographed over 70 productions for the
Asolo Theatre in Florida (where he choreographed a production
of Syncopation last spring). Mr. Hoskins resides
in Sarasota where he is a professor of theatre at the FSU/Asolo
Conservatory. (2003)
