Players Announce Geranium Sales April 16, 2003 Contact: Jon L. Egging, Marketing Director The Peterborough Players have announced the seventh annual “Geranium Mania,” which benefits the Players’ eight-play summer season, especially the two Second Company productions for children and families. Geraniums are easy to grow and make a bright splash in gardens big and small, including window boxes and other containers. They are especially effective in border plantings. The Players is now taking orders for 4-inch pots of first-quality geraniums grown from cuttings in a wide range of colors: red, white, pink, salmon or magenta. The price is $38 for 12 plants, with a minimum order of 12. Geraniums must be ordered by May 1st, and may be picked up at the theatre, at 55 Hadley Road, Peterborough, on Saturday, May 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To receive an order form or to place an order by phone, please call the Players box office at 924-7585. The Players, founded in 1933, is the region’s pre-eminent professional theatre, offering a summer season of six mainstage productions by the resident professional company and two productions by the “Second Company” of interns and apprentices, as well as use of its facility year-round by other community organizations. The season opens on June 28 and runs through September 14. This year the Second Company will present The Revenge of the Space Pandas,
a hilarious comedy for children by David Mamet, for 11 performances in
June and July, and Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, an adaptation
of Twain’s classic novel by Rita Grauer and John Urquhart, for 4
performances in August. For information about the Second Company productions
or the Players’ mainstage series, call 924-7585, or visit www.peterboroughplayers.org. |
