Laura R. Scott has been named development director for The Peterborough Players. She will assume responsibility for all areas of contributed income including annual, endowment and corporate sponsorship campaigns, donor relations and grant writing.

Before joining the Players, Scott served as the Director of Development for The Colonial Theatre. She is a past president of the Board of Trustees of the Players and has worked locally for Yankee Magazine’s Community Partners Program and the Peterborough Historical Society. With more than 24 years of experience in the development field she has also helped raise funds for many other local and national non-profit groups.

She is a resident of Peterborough. She has a BA in English from Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY and began her career as an English teacher. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Arts Presenters of Northern New England.
