Players Win Eight New Hampshire Theatre Awards February 14, 2006
The Peterborough Players took home eight out of twenty awards in the professional division of the 2006 New Hampshire Theatre Awards, which were presented at the Palace Theatre in Manchester February 3. The awards honored outstanding achievement in New Hampshire theatre in 2005. The production of SOLIDARITY won two awards. Carmen Decker was named Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role as Delta O’Leary, and Lisa Bostnar was named Best Actress in a Drama for her role as Phyllis O’Leary. YOU’RE A GOOD MAN,
CHARLIE BROWN won three awards. INHERIT THE WIND won three awards. James Whitmore, Jr. was named Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role as Henry Drummond, Gus Kaikkonen was named Best Director of a Drama, and the production was named Best Drama of the year.
