WIN THREE NEW HAMPSHIRE THEATRE AWARDS

The Peterborough Players took home three acting awards in the professional
division of the 2007 New Hampshire Theatre Awards, which were presented
at the Palace Theatre in Manchester
February 2. The awards honored outstanding achievement in New Hampshire
theatre in 2006.
All three of the Players’ awards were for the production of HOBSON’S
CHOICE. Michael Page was named Best Actor in a play for his role as Henry
Hobson, Dee Nelson was named Best Actress in a play for her role as Maggie
Hobson, and Kraig Swartz was named Best Supporting Actor in a play for
his role as Will Mossop.
In addition to the winners, the Players was in the top 3 finalists in
seven categories. For HOBSON’S CHOICE, Ray Recht was a finalist
for Best Scenic Design, Lisa Liebetrau was a finalist for Best Costume
Design, Carmen Decker was a finalist for Best Supporting Actress in a
play for her role as Mrs. Hepworth, Jonathan Bank was a finalist for
Best Director of a play, and the production was a finalist for Best Play.
THE WINTER’S TALE was also a finalist for Best Play, and Dee Nelson
was a finalist for Best Actress in a play for her role as Hermione.
