The Met: Live in HD at the Peterborough Players
2011-12 Season Announced
Peterborough, NH (September 20, 2011) – The 2011-12 season of The Met: Live in HD opera series opens at the Peterborough Players theatre on October 15, 1:00 pm, with Donizetti’s Anna Bolena. The Metropolitan Opera will simulcast 11 operas on Saturday afternoons via satellite and high definition equipment onto a large screen at the Players’ intimate 250-seat theatre.
Subtitles are streamed onto the bottom of the screen throughout each performance, and special interviews and behind the scenes footage is shown during intermissions. Sunflowers Restaurant caters sweet and savory “Opera Bites” that patrons may purchase before each opera and during intermissions.

December 10, 2011, 1 PM — Faust (Gounod) — New Production
January 21, 2012, 1 PM — The Enchanted Island (Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau and others) — World Premiere Production
February 11, 2012, 12 PM — Gotterdammerung (Wagner) — New Production
February 25, 2012, 1 PM — Ernani (Verdi)
April 7, 2012, 12 PM — Manon (Massenet) — New Production
April 14, 2012, 1 PM — La Traviata (Verdi)
